While going through Sencha Docs for a project we came across this awesome image placeholder service. In this short article, I will discuss how to use this service and we will also discuss some additional features offered by this service. Just put your image size after the base URL and you'll get a placeholder. Ex:  http://placehold.it/350x150 . You can also use it in your code. To get a square-shaped placeholder specify width only:  http://placehold.it/300 . You can also specify text and color: http://placehold.it/300/ffffff/1f85f2&text=placehold.it .
