#8-How to Integrate Leadbolt HTML Ad in Windows Store JS App?

In this article, I will explain how to place a Leadbolt HTML app banner in a Windows 8.1 JavaScript app. Prerequisites: Basics of creating Windows 8.1 apps with JS. Steps: At first create the ad in Leadbolt site. Keep the ad code in a text file in your computer. We will need this soon. Make sure you have Internet (Client) checked in the Capabilities section of the package.appxmanifest file. Add an HTML page (page.html) to the project. Delete everything in the body part of the page and paste the ad code just before the closing body tag. Now, select the page where you want to place the ad. Let's assume you want to place the ad in default.html. In default.html, place x-ms-webview code in the desired area. Use CSS styles for making the ad look better. If you don't want scrollbars to appear inside your ad, use overflow: hidden; style in page.html. If you have a house ad, use proper styling to make it look nice. The app is now available in Windows Store . Image credit: Imthiyaz Sy...

I had no intention to make the user confused with a lot of menu items, options, tools etc. My target was to make a data visualization app which will be usable by people of every age. The app supports six chart types. For more information check it out in Windows Store. Image credit: Arun Thomas, pexels.com

When was the last time you experienced something great? Before you read this post you better forget about that, because what I am going to tell you here will make you rethink the definition of 'great'. I registered for the event because I couldn't resist the temptation of being part of it and due to my busy work schedule I couldn't get a chance to participate in hackathons before. I cannot express the joy I felt when my registration was confirmed by Microsoft. Some developers came from outside state. I reached Microsoft (I) Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata around 8:45 AM on 17th May, 2014. The event started at 10:00 AM. Abhishek Sur, Kunal Chowdhury, Nitesh Luharuka were the venue administrators. They briefed us about the day's plans. We started giving finishing touch to our apps and testing our apps on multiple platforms. Everyone was very serious about their projects and was working very hard to make the apps bugfree and clean. While some people were working on single proj...

In this post, we will discuss how we can generate images with device frames for both Android and iOS from screenshots of our apps. This is called device art generation. Solutions:  Android  &  iOS . In the case of Android, just go to the page and follow the instructions. You must have the screenshots in the appropriate aspect ratio. We have not tested the solution for iOS. We will update this post after testing that. You guys are welcome to try both! Image credit: freestocks.org, pexels.com
